Comments Off on You’ll Be Floored By Our Fresh Look!
We’ve been hard at work these last few weeks in preparation for our first week of classes.
Our studios have been given a makeover with refinished floors and bright and beautiful new paint colors. We’ve also added new flooring to our lobby and hallway. We can’t wait for you to see it!
Speaking of floors…
Did you know that when it comes to dance, no ordinary flooring will do?
It’s true! A good dance floor, unlike indoor flooring designed for sports, needs to offer shock absorption. That means it should be sprung, semi-sprung or cushioned (but not too spongy or springy) to prevent injury, pain, and damage to a dancer’s entire body. Even in the short-term, dancing on concrete floors can potentially cause all of those things!
At Define Dance & Arts Studio, the safety of our dancers is very important. That’s why our studios feature specially designed sprung floors.
We’re so looking forward to watching our dancers dance on them this year!
As we get started this season, let us know how we can help you or your dancer get into the groove. And, as always, we appreciate your encouragement and feedback.
